My ancestor was Rebecca Maria Goodrich, b. circa 1819, Vermont She married George Pete Smith, Sr. and they had five children, the last George Peter Smith, JR, my Great, grand father. b. 3 Feb 1850, Lake County ,Indiana. Rebecca Maria Goodrich appears in the 1850 US Census for Lake County, Indiana, showing her age at that time as 31 and confirms she was born in Vermont. Family history says she was a distant cousin of Ethan Allen (of Ticonderoga fame, French and Indian War in 1775). The birth of her last child in 1850 and the 1850 Census is the last information I can find about her. Does anyone know anything about her ancestors? Where she died and where buried? Need help.
