Wife of Thomas Goodridge (Goodrich) was Rebecca Callisan, daughter of Hiram Callisan of VA. I like to think that he went to VA and met her and took her west like so many pioneers. She survived him, along with a brother of hers, in MO until her death in 1860. I have her will naming her brother, James B. Callisan, guardian of her two minor children, my ancestor John Goodrich and little sister Mary. According to Callison researchers, James B.'s obit says he was born in Madison County, KY. So Rebecca may have been from there too, and so might Thomas. Any advice searching KY records? Which archive has the most online stuff? Thanks for your reply. I keep finding info in Ancestry Trees that has the wrong info about some of my relatives. Luckily I was able to contact a couple of submitters and prove what was correct. A lot of the problems stem from books written many years ago that contain wrong info and there is no way to correct it. I am related to some Goodrich families but I don't have a Thomas.
