I have not heard of these, my line is from South Carolina is as far as I know but do know they came from somewhere else earlier. I don't know about the book Kith and Kin, who is the author? My g-g-gfather was Samuel Goodwin b. 1785 in SC lived in Richmond County, NC in the 1820's through 1850 and in Marlboro County, SC near Bennettsville until he died there in 1872. My g-gfather and siblings went to MS by 1854, I live in TX; I have found a Will that I think might be my Samuel's family, but no proof as yet. A youngest son Samuel is listed with 10 other children. Best wishes, Gladys Goodwin Parker
