Michael (and others) do you have information, from The Goodrich Family in America, or other sources, on James Goodrich, born probably in CT likely in the period 1780-1800 who married 31 Mar 1822, Whitestown NY Harriet White b. 6 Sep 1792 probably Whitestown daughter of Philo White + Esther Holt perhaps both of Middletown CT children of James Goodrich + Harriet White (perhaps providing clues to his ancestry): Cordelia G. Henrietta Gustavus Edmond Dwight for several years I had Cordelia (my line) linked to another Goodrich family, until census information showed me I had the wrong lineage -- my Cordelia is neither Cordelia Ann Goodrich nor Cordelia Goodrich b. Gouverneur NY so -- anyone have information or clues to her father James Goodrich? Candy
I'm looking for information on Benjamin GOODRICH, my 5th great grandfather, who married Sarah DEWEY sometime before 1750 and most likely in CT. One of their offspring was Rhoda GOODRICH (my 4th great grandmother), born March 23, 1750 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. She married Anthony Haskings IV in CT and died on May 22, 1824 in FT. Ann, Washington Co., NY. Thank you. Ken Frost
I am trying to sort out JOHN GOODRICH, his son JOHN GOODRICH and his grandson GEORGE GOODRICH. I have found George Goodrich whose daughter MARY was married to JAMES CALCOTE about 1734. I have found a John Goodrich with a wife names Ann Cripps and a John Goodrich with a wife named Ann Bechinoe daughter of Edward. I have a John Goodrich Sr. wife Joan and second wife Rebecca. He had two sons named John one by each wife. The oldest of which died before he did. I think that son was Capt. John Goodrich. I would like to sort out which John and wife were the parents of George whose daughter Mary married James Calcote. Any information would be appreciated. Delores Slidell LA

I am hunting for Cordelia Goodrich's lineage again, since the one so happily supplied to me turns out to be another Cordelia, some 8 years younger, who was enumerated on the census as single living with her parents in Gouverneur NY after my Cordelia was known to be married with children Cordelia Goodrich was born 2 Mar 1823 in Whitestown, Oneida, NY on 7 Mar 1842 she married James Lawrence Smith their children, first two born in NY, others born IA Harriet Amelia Charles W. William Mary DeForrest James Henry Martha Louise because of that first child's name, I suspect she is related in some way to Roswell and Abigail (Blossom) Goodrich of Granville NY, but she isn't their daughter (birthdates clash) she may also be related to Sylvester Goodrich of Whitestown NY, but so far I haven't any evidence other than that he was known to be in that town in 1833 other Goodriches in the area: Josiah, Levi, Leonard, Marvin, Roswell (a different one) and Samuel I would like to avoid having to trace every Goodrich or Goodridge in the country from the immigrant ancestor on ... any information cheerfully received Candy in rural Washington state

AW King's military papers say he was "an Assistant Surgeon in the Confederate Army, serving with Waul's Texas Legion Co. F & S. Mustered in at Camp Waul near Brenham TX 30 June 1862 for 3 years or the war. This is ALL I have been able to find. If anyone is working on this family, I would really like to hear from them. Thanks, Barbara Dickey barbara.dickey@att.net
Iinformation from the LDS Ancestral File.. Eva Maria Campbell married Lewis GOODRICH in Winnebago Co. (Rockford, where the picture was taken, is in Winnebago Co) on 20 August 1879. They moved to Filmore Co. NE where she died 19 July 1938. This may not be the correct Eva,but itcertainly looks like a possible. Joanne Mack
Yesterday while antique shopping along the Oregon coast I found & bought a picture of a young woman (late teens -middle twenties) On the picture's back " EVA GOODRICH, Aunt CYNTHIA CAMPBELL's daughter. From the hair & dress style I would guess that the picture was taken in the late 1800's It was taken by the G.W.Barnes studio in ROCKFORD, IL. If this lovely young lady belongs to your family,I would be happy to send her home. Joanne Mack,Salem OR.

Everyone, I am so incredibly sorry for this, I am usually more careful abou these things and check the hoax site. I feel like such an idiot! My sincere apologies, I've been having severe back pain and taking pain meds and my mind is not as clear as it should be. I got this from another list for anyone who jumped the gun like I did: can get the file from your Windows CD and do a file search for the file on the CD. Then copy and paste it back on to your computer into the C:\Windows\Command folder. You should not have to reload the software package from the Windows disk. From the Symantec Website: CAUTIONS: This particular email message is a hoax. The file that is mentioned in the hoax, however, Sulfnbk.exe, is a Microsoft Windows utility that is used to restore long file names, and like any .exe file, it can be infected by a virus that targets .exe files. The virus/worm W32.Magistr.24876@mm can arrive as an attachment named Sulfnbk.exe. The Sulfnbk.exe file used by Windows is located in the C:\Windows\Command folder. If the file is located in any other folder, or arrives as an attachment to a email message, then it is possible that the file is infected. In this case, if a scan with the latest virus definitions and with NAV set to scan all files does not detect the file as being infected, quarantine and submit the file to SARC for analysis by following the instructions in the document How to submit a file to SARC using Scan and Deliver. If you have deleted the Sulfnbk.exe file from the C:\Windows\Command folder and want to know how to restore the file, see the How to restore the Sulfnbk.exe file section at the end of this document. You can find the rest of this at: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html Sue At 05:38 PM 12/2/2001 -0500, you wrote: >I can't remember who I've sent email to in the last couple of months so >I'm sending this to everyone in my mailbox. Hi list, I have to write and do my dance with others...Just the other day I recieved an email from a new cousin Wilma and in her line of research it cracked my 20+ years of research. My father's line of the Goodrich family is a sister to her line. I was soooo happy that I yelled and my family came into the livingroom and asked what was wrong. Now even though she did not have my Sarah Goodrich I have a bit of digging to do to confirm this through a will and obit. But all of these years I had my surmations but now I have something to go on besides the 1830 census. So don't give up....it may take 20+ years but something will turn up and surprise you. just had to share that...can not wait for her to write back.... best wishes, Susan
