I am looking for information about Demi Goodrich and Rachel Clark. I think Rachel was the daughter of Richard and Christina Dutcher Clark of Schoharie, NY and sometimes Coxsockie, Greene County, NY. In replying to "Helen Graves" question about Orton in the GOODRICH family plot, could the name be NORTON? Asaph GOODRICH (1768-1846) married Eunice FRENCH (1774-1865). Their daughter Millie GOODRICH (1802-1879) married Isaac NORTON (1788-1858). Their son Henry NORTON married Gertrude WASHINGTON and moved from Berlin,, CT to Syracuse, NY. Today while filing info I have on Roswell GOODRICH (1756-1847), I came across a listing of the burials in the Goodrich family plot in Sardinia Cemetery, Erie Co., NY. Roswell Goodrich is buried there, as is his son Josiah (d. 1884) and Josiah's wife Cynthia HARRIS (d. 1864) and their son, his wife, a grandson, etc. It is definitely a Goodrich family plot. But who is this person in the Goodrich plot? PHOEBE ORTON d. Feb. 20, 1843, aged 74-2-6. If her age of being 74 yrs old is correct, this Phoebe Orton was born c. 1769. Does anyone know who she could be? As far as I know, Roswell Goodrich did not have a sister Phoebe nor a sister in law who remarried an Orton. It is possible that this Phoebe Orton could have been a HARRIS, i.e. related to Josiah Goodrich's wife Cynthia in some way. Any GOODRICH researchers out there working on families in Erie Co., NY?
