Author: dbucher158 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.goodrich/1374.4.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My first answer was not correct. I have Lovette Goodrich as the first ancestor for the family that was in Dunklin. That is correct but that I didn't link them with the Pruitt family was incorrect. A son of Lovette, Ambert, married Matilda Pruitt. Matilda was a daughter of Clark Pruitt and Cecila Cude. They were the parents of Mary Pruitt first wife of A. M. Watson. On Rootsweb there is a listing for Lovet Goodrich and his wife. They also list his father's name as Richard. I found Pruitts and Goodrich death certificates at Missouri Death index. Ambert is the question of who Alice Johnson was married to. I saw on this forum that Matilda died and Ambert married Alice Johnson. Albert Goodrich death certificate showed a Mary Pruitt as his mother. Still possible that Matilda was correct. I hope this helps. Selia Cude Pruitt's daughter married A. M. Watson but died before 1900. Then A. M. married Queen Victoria Pruitt daughter of D. S. Pruitt and wife Missouri. I can't read his name in the census but there was an inquest in her death in 1906 and the father was listed as D. S. When I go down later this year I hope to get to the court house and I will look up to see which Pruitt married an Alice Johnson. I found pretty much the same information you did. Either your grandfather was Brook, Brooks Arthur or Arthur Brook. 1930 they were in Mississippi County Ar. I think the Goodrich family was in Missouri a long time. I have a Lovett Goodrich (1811 NC) Married to Fanny Williams. Alamar Goodrich married Maltida Purett. Alamar son of Lovett. Alamar is the father of Albert Goodrich who married an Iva ?. For some reason that is all I have entered. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
