He was sure that Christian Goodnight died in Marion Co. WV in 1866. Several people have gotten some of the Goodnight families mixed up. The same names in different families does not help. One of the mixups is putting the wrong Goodnights in Indiana. I am descended from William Joseph Goodnight, who married Joanna Guthrie and lived in Calhoun County WV. They stayed in Calhoun Co. One of the mixups with him is that people insisted he married another woman and that he lived in Indiana. Joanna outlived William Joseph by over ten years. They are both buried in the Goodnight Cemetery in Calhoun. (Have photos) I have Abraham, Oliver Perry, James Abraham DeVault who married Mary Stansberry. Is this your family?
