I beg to differ, Amanda J is not the same person as Anna Elizabeth Goodnight. We have found Amanda J on the 1870 census in Webster Co MO and the 1900 census in Carroll Co AR. Anna Elizabeth Goodnight was found: 1860 Federal Census Milam Co TX, age 2 1870 Federal Census Milam Co TX, age 11 1880 Federal Census Milam Co TX, age 21, ED 106, Pg 15, HH 124-125 1900 Federal Census Milam Co TX, age 41, Pg 8, ED 81, HH 124/124 1910 Federal Census Navarro Co TX, age 50, ED 99, Sh 11A, HH 3/3. Anna Elizabeth was born and died in TX, she married only once to William Lloyd Gandy. Not the case with Amanda J. I am a direct descendant of Elijah Goodnight and have family genealogy as proof.
