There is so much history of the Chisholm family I find to be interesting. John Chisholm was the father of Elizabeth Chisholm Goodnight. He was a man who worked closely with the Indians, ran a trading post for them I believe. There seems to be a lot of controversy over this family. You might want to check the Dawes Rolls to find if Elizabeth is listed on that. My husband is a descendant as well as former president Harry S Truman a descendant of the Goodnight family.
