I am the daughter of Pauline Gonzalez Rodriguez (DOB 4-2-1923 still living) and Juan Rodriguez (DOB 8-29-1923; deceased 5-8-1990). I found your post interesting because mygrandfather, Jesus Maria Gonzalez came to the USA through working on the railroad around 1920, and performed much of the same type of general labor that you mentioned.
