I am the daughter of Pauline Gonzalez Rodriguez (DOB 4-2-1923 still living) and Juan Rodriguez (DOB 8-29-1923; deceased 5-8-1990). I found your post interesting because mygrandfather, Jesus Maria Gonzalez came to the USA through working on the railroad around 1920, and performed much of the same type of general labor that you mentioned. I'm going to ask my mom some more questions tomorrow. He only had one sister named Josefa. email me back if you think we have any further link. Elizmolnar@aol.com

Dave, I am responding to your post, because I am searching for relatives also. You and I need to keep working on this, despite our personal endeavors! Grandpa had only a sister named Josefa Gonzalez, not a brother. She had children. Grandpa kept up with the Aguirre family after the sudden surgical loss of Demetria in 1936.I can recall that Demetria had a brother named Juan Aguirre, and a sister named Cirila. She maybe had more sisters but I'll have to get out Grandpa's little red book, however there are De Leon's that are related to us that are in the Houston, Texas area. I hope one of them will see this post and contact me. I would like to meet our family/cousins on the Aguirre side or any relatives to Josefa Gonzalez or Jesus ! Maria Gonzalez (my grandfather, your great grandfather). If anyone knew him, you will remember that he used to work in the pickle /pepino fields seasonally for my father (Juan/John/Johnny Rodriguez in Ohio until 1968.John died in May of 1990. email me with any possible links at Elizmolnar@aol.com.

In 1998 I started “The Genealogy of Mexico” website with this in mind. It has always been my hope that information shared would lead us to the genealogical answers we seek. With new advances in science it is possible to determine our ancient origins and see whom we are related to.
