He loved people, animals, children and his beloved Chihuahua, 'Chato.' He lived on his terms, had a kind heart, and he is now dancing in heaven, free of illness. He was employed by St. Vincent Hospital and Fairview Cemetery. He was a member of the VFW and was also a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Anderson; brother, Tony Anderson; and grandson, Richard Maes. He is survived by his loving wife, Minnie Gonzales; daughters, Elizabeth Martinez and husband Dan, and Karla Smail and husband Steve; granddaughters, Lori Martinez and fiancé Jerry Rodriguez, Deanne Martinez, Amanda Martinez and Nicole Maes; grandson, Mark Mendoza; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, and a rosary will follow at 3 p.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.!
