He retired from the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, NM with over 24 years of dedicated service, and where he spent his last two weeks of life with his loving family beside him at all times. Jerry was a hard working and devoted husband and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Elias and Margarita Gonzales; and his two sons, Billy and Jerry Lee Gonzales. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sally of the family home; one daughter, Lynn and her husband, Daniel A. Sandoval, Jr. of Los Lunas; two sisters, Margaret Lewis of Albuquerque; Del Hannah of Hubert, North Carolina; and one brother, Benny Gonzales of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews."You are not forgotten loved one, Nor will you ! ever be, as long as life and memory last, We will remember thee". All of Jerry's services will take place at his beloved Parish, San Clemente Catholic Church. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Los Lentes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sal Archuleta, Joseph Gonzales, Jackie Jaramillo, Floyd Chavez, Tom Kist, and Uriel Orozco.
