She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Rodriguez. Emmalou was a member of The State Board of Education for 14 years, The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Board, People LivIng Through Cancer Board, Caminando Juntos and a long time member of The Democratic Party. She was extremely active in numerous other organizations and was very devoted to her family. The family would like to thank family and friends for all that they have done. She is survived by her children; Bernadette and husband, Edgard Vargas, Los Lunas; Francina and husband, Stuart Walker, Albuquerque; Ray and Barbara Rodriguez, Albuquerque; Matthew and Kimberley Rodriguez, Albuquerque and Leticia M. Rodriguez, Philadelphia, PA, brothers; Arturo and wife, Pearl Gonzales of Albuquerque and Alfonso and wife, Dorothy Gonzales of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Lauren Rodriguez, Isaac Vargas, Dominique Rodriguez, ! Julien Rodriguez and Ilissabeth Vargas. Honorary pallbearers are: Benny Narnajo, Oliver Haas, Anthony Haas, Roy Rodriguez, Roland Lujan, Tony De Tavis , Joseph, John, Mark and Julian Gonzales. Joe Gonzales, Jr., Arthur Gonzales, Jr., Mario Madrid, and Bobby Rodriguez.
