I don't have any direct information on the family for you because the information I have would probably be for earlier generations than that of your grandparents. Hillsboro is in Sierra County in NM in the Black Range foothills on NM 152, 17 mi W of Caballo (according to p. 166, Robert Julyan's book, Place Names of New Mexico). The same source (p.145) notes that Garfield is in Dona Ana County on NM 187, 9 mi NW of Hatch. The town originally had a Spanish name "Loma Parda" (gray hill).
