She was born on January 26, 1949 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Carter; sons, Daniel Carter Jr., David A Carter and wife Eliza and Brian M. Carter and wife Angela; grandchildren, Mannie Lopez, Uriah Rodriguez, Alex Carter, Miranda Carter, David Scott Carter and Rachel Carter; parents Tony and Aurelia Gonzales; brothers, Gary Gonzales and Gino Gonzales; sisters, Margaret Gonzales, Susie Leyva and Edward Chavez and Carolyn Gonzales; mother-in-law, Florinda S. Carter; niece, Evonne Martinez; nephews, Joel Leyva and Lee Gonzales;. Mrs. Carter will be deeply missed by loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery ! at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Gary Gonzales, Gino Gonzales, Carolyn Gonzales, Chris Moya and Richard Romero.
