I too have family in Gonzales, Texas with the surname Gonzales. My father Jesus Gonzales was raised in Gonzales around 1908. His parents were Pablo Gonzales and Maxima (maiden name Losoya). According to the 1910 census they lived on St. John Street. Siblings of my father were Alvaro, Pablo, Jose, Ignacio, Cirelio, Guadalupe (married to Bonificio Guerrero) and Maria Luisa. Do any of these names sound familiar. I understand that some how there was a relation to the Eduardo Estrada family. These families came from Mexico but there seems to be a debate as to what part of Mexico. I have always been told that we are of Mexican decent but not sure of that either. I am anxious to hear from you whether to see if there is a connection.
