She was preceded in death by her husband, Salomon Valdez; parents Jose M. and Eutilia C. Gonzales; and son, Sam Gonzales. She is survived by her daughter, Sivie Gonzales of Taos; a granddaughter whom she raised, Renee Lynda Martinez; sisters, Eufelia Varela and husband Manuel of Kearns, Utah, Marian Martinez of Canon Plaza, and Priscilla Trujillo of Boone, Colo.; brothers, Bill Gonzales of Santa Fe and Joe B. Gonzales of Canon Plaza; and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente with burial to follow at Ojo Caliente Cemetery. Rivera-Hanlen Funeral Home, (505) 758-3841.
