He was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines, and was a maintenance worker for Villa Rancho Bernardo. Survivors include his wife, Neli; daughter, Maria Victoria Tadas; son, Juanito Gonzales; sisters, Patricia, Camama and Luming Gonzales; brothers, Eduardo, Antonio and Melencio Jr. Gonzales; and two grandchildren. Visitation and services: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with rosary at 6:30 p.m., California Cremation & Burial Chapel, 2200 Highland Ave., National City.
