He served in World War II. He worked at the La Fonda Hotel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Gonzales; and brother, Benny Gonzales. He is survived by his daughter, Irmalinda Herrera; son, Jimmy Romero and children, grandson, Dennis Sandoval; granddaughter, Angel Sandoval; sisters, Maida Ortiz, Esther Romero, Mary Todd, Henrietta Tixier and husband Mariano; brothers, Manuel Gonzales and wife Lola, Jimmy Gonzales and wife Florence; and many other relatives. Visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. today with rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Pojoaque. Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the same church with burial to follow at 3 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe parish immediately following burial.
