My gg grandmother Francisca Gonzales b. 1849 was dtr of Luis Gonzales, grdtr Juan Francisco Gonzales (major domo Santa Cruz Mission). Her mother was Adelayda Castro, dtr. of Raphael Castro. Adelayda died when Francisca was 1 year old, apparently in childbirth, and for a time, it seems Luis fell off the map. I have recently acquired information the Luis remarried at least two more times and eventually had 9 children before he died. I would very much like to find out more information about Luis and his children. In 1900, I have one of his dtrs living with Francisca and her husband, John Melville. This is a very peculiar family and have been difficult to locate.
