She was a senior companion with the foster grandparents program. She worked at the Las Vegas Medical Center, formerly known as the State Hospital, for 26 years, the Southwest Senior Care Center for 13 years and West Las Vegas Schools as a crossing guard. She was a lifelong Catholic and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Emigila Gonzales; husband, Florencio Gutierrez; son, Gerald Gutierrez; daughter, Joann Trujillo; grandson, Joshua Gutierrez; brothers, Amador Gonzales and Leroy Gonzales; and sisters, Jane Encinias, Grace Gonzales and Arabella Encinias. She is survived by her sons, Ray Gutierrez and wife Lorraine, George Gonzales, Richard Gutierrez and wife Margaret, all of Las Vegas, N.M.; daughter, Jessie Gutierrez and fiancée Leroy Romero of Las Vegas, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Roberto Castellano and David Gonzales,! both of Las Vegas, N.M., Placido Gonzales of Tecolote; and many other relatives and friends. Ryan was a senior with the class of 2004 at Belen High School, and was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Sanchez Gabaldon, nine months ago. He is survived by his father, Randy Gonzales and wife, Marcella, and brother, Miguel, of Stanley, NM, and step-father, David Gabaldon, and brother, Aaron Gabaldon of the family home in Los Chavez, Grandparents, Rosalyn Gonzales of Belen, Joe and Emily Gabaldon of Albuquerque, Proceso and Rosalie Sanchez of Tome, and Henry and Mary Lou Salazar of Stanley, NM. He is also survived by an enormous amount of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ryan was a kind person who was always eager to smile, and he loved to spend time with his friends. He recently spent several days in! San Diego with his brother Aaron, where Ryan claimed they were both just one wave short of becoming world-class surfers. Ryan's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at UNM Neuroscience Intensive Care for their tireless efforts and compassion in caring for Ryan, especially Michael Venhaus, RN, for helping to make complex information understandable. All those who cared for Ryan are truly God's angels. He served in the Army in 1967 and went to the Vietnam War. He worked for the City of Albuquerque for 22 years and retired. After he worked for D.M.C. until he was diagnosed with cancer. He survived by his wife, Lorraine D. Gonzales of 35 years; three daughters and two sons, Valerie, Pamela, Diego Jr., Fernando Gonzales, and Jennifer and husband, Leonard Lopez; grandchildren, Leroy & Miranda Gonzales, and Lorissa Lopez. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Josie; father-in-law, Raymond Montoya; three sisters-in-law, Debbie Thornton and husband, Danny, Mary Maldonado and husband, Demecio, Julia Ruiz and husband, Patrick; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Martinez. He is also survived by his parents, Efren and Flora Gonzales; four sisters, Je! anette Jaramillo and husband, Max, Armida Griego and husband, Joe, Melda Moya and husband, Richard, Angel Ramsey and husband, Mark; and one brother, Roland Gonzales.
