I have been spending a lot of time reading up on how to do this family history lark properly. In my early enthusiasm I spread myself thin trying to track every ancestor of both myself and my wife's family and got myself completly lost. The answer to your question is a cautious yes! My caution being as a result of not having cross referenced any of the following with trip to the P.R.O. I have managed to track down a John William Robert SPAIN b.07/08/1889 Ramsgate Kent, d.27/09/1918 killed in action France, a driver in the Royal Army Service Corps formerly of the East Kent Regt. attached to the 3rd/2nd West Lancs Field Ambulance. I have his service numbers and I am planning a trip to the P.R.O. to research this person further before I claim a confirmed link. I will let you know if I have any further success. Regards, Martin
