They had a son francis andrew who married twice he and his first wife isabella had 5 children my great grandfather george leslie fraser was one of them. He was born in 1900 and he also married twice. His first wife Thelma daphne stephens died 2yrs later 10months after giving birth to my grand father Francis. So it would seem we are related if not distantly. So Francis andrew and john clement were indeed brothers how very exciting. Do you possible have any other information on any of the goldfinches, pictures were we actually came from? I have only been able to go back as far as richard being born in elham and who he married. I havent been able to find out much more at this time even the desombre side is hard to get hold of. She gave birth to Ellen Maria Goldfinch who was baptised at Kingsnorth, Kent on the 24 June 1832. No Fathers name is recorded on the baptism record. Mary Goldfinch married John Fowler by licence at the parish of Chilset in Kent, at the time she was living at Chislet and he was a carpenter from Ashford in Kent. Ellen Maria Goldfinch married William Harris a baker at Ashford 28 December 1852. Their daughter Minnie Jane Harris was my Great Grandmother, she married William Punnett at Elham. This information was recently shared by a Harris relation and I wonder whether there are any connections to the Goldfinch families around the East Kent area. many thanks Heather

He is as far back I can get but that is 10 generations so I'm not too miffed. I'm directly convict stock & have been trying to do this since I was 12ish.
