I do note on Free BMD a birth 1st Quarter 1896 for Alfred Edward W. Goldfinch in Eastry Registration District. Deal is part of Eastry Reg. District. However I don't know if this is your Alfred. Can't see an Alfred born in Deal on 1901 census. Perhaps when the 1911 is made available which should be soon you will find him and his family listed on it. There was an Alfred age 5 on the 1901 but he was born at Ramsgate. Are you sure your Alfred was born at Deal? I also can't locate a marriage to this couple. Perhaps they didn't marry or were listed under different names. Could she have been married before and married under another surname? Where do you fit in? I have been able to find out a fair bit about my family, but would still like to know more. And maybe touch base with more Goldfinches, there just doesnt seem to be any around. I am interested in photos information on any individuals. I have some photos of George, his 2 brothers from Francis's second marriage and also 2 of his sisters. I was also lucky enough to be sent a picture of Richard himself but that is all I have. I would be very willing to exchange information if I have anything of interest that is. This family history stuff has kind of taken over my life. I just want to know more. Anything that anyone may be able to help me with would be great.
