    3. Folks Please read the following message from RootsWeb. Rootsweb mailing lists will END 2 March 2020. No NEW postings, just archives. If you have someone you regularly correspond with on a list, be sure to save their email in your contact list. I will miss you all. Slán, Marge in Southern California Admin ----- On Jan 7, 2020, at 9:37 AM, RootsWeb Administration <rwmailinglists@ancestry.com> wrote: Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state. Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb. 3. I haven't replied yet because I can't remember when my Golden side was traced to entering the U.S. but I believe it was William Golder as the spelling appears to be on the ship log, but once he acquired land in Manhattan (one of the first to own land there), his name showed up Golden. He arrived from Ireland in the 1600's. I haven't had a chance to type out all the history that my relatives have uncovered but keep thinking one of these days I'll share it here. ________________________________ From: Martha Johnson <john3498@bellsouth.net> Sent: Monday, April 23, 2018 3:20:52 PM To: golden@rootsweb.com Subject: [GOLDEN] Re: ROLL CALL - Where is everyone else who has not replied? 3. Can anyone connect the dots between Mark Golden, b. about 1762, his son Seaborn, b. 1799, and the Seaborn Golden b. 1821, son of either John or Noah? I personally do not know any Goldens (unless I could find my mother's cousin and he is still living) to do a DNA, but one member of the family, Roy Harvey Golden, had a DNA test done a few years ago, as did Luther Golden (a direct descendant of Mark) and there enough markers to know that the lines are related, but we have been unable to determine how and where.  Martha Johnson From: Vicki in Western NY via GOLDEN <golden@rootsweb.com> To: golden@rootsweb.com Cc: Vicki in Western NY <v10852@aol.com> Sent: Friday, April 20, 2018 7:53 PM Subject: [GOLDEN] Re: ROLL CALL - Where is everyone else who has not replied? golden@rootsweb.com No because I'm not  Golden, but they were related.  Peter's dau.
