She, along with her husband, Jacob "Jack" Speyer are found in the New York City, 1600s-1800s Marriage Index Spouse: Jacob Speyer Marriage Date: 1890 Location: Manhattan County: New York State: New York Marriage ID: 63 0001294 Certificate Number: 6670 Publication: Marriage Registers, Extracts from Manhattan (1869-1880) and Brooklyn (1895-1897) Page: No page number listed Publisher: Dept. of Health, Division of Vital Statistics, New York. Published: NY, NY. Comments: See Family History Library catalog for films 1543971-1562446 (Manhattan) and Film 1653852 (Brooklyn), for actual certificate. Does anyone know what else might be found on her marriage certificate? I was considering requesting it in hopes of finding her parents. As per the 1900 federal census for Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ, Emma Goldberg and her husband Jacob H. Speyer were living at 118 Bowes Street, along with their two sons, Walter and Arthur, who were born in New York. Emma's Mother, Bertha Goldberg was living in the Speyer household along with another daughter Jennie Goldberg. Emma Goldberg was born in February of 1868 in New York. Bertha was born was born in April of 1832 in Germany and Jennie was born in March of 1860 in Massachusetts. Bertha Goldberg's parents were both born in Germany. I do not know Bertha's maiden name. I do not know the first name of Bertha's husband and Emma and Jennie's father, but he was also born in Germany, according to the 1900 census. Thanks so much for your help!
