Do you know what shtetl your Goldberg ancestors are from? Mine were from Lyubcha, Minsk, Belarus. And I found out that the original name was BOLDA or BOLDO. This was when I found their passenger list of my grandmother to Galveston, Texas. They also had Cohen cousins in New York. I wish I knew more. Please let me know if this sounds familiar.
