So much so, that it will keep me busy for a great while, sorting through it all. That is why I am SO disappointed with what I have found on my Father's side very little. So I am hoping that some of you can help me (please) find more ancestors on my Father's side. I have only been able to trace back to my Father's Father (my Grandfather) whose name was Ray Goldberg. (Slight chance he was born in Chicago, Illinois, but not absolutely certain.) I just don't know that much about him. He died in 1961, before I was born. :( I just don't know that much about him. He was married to Dorothy (Dora?) KANNE. Birth: 17 JUL 1902 (I believe in Chicago, Illinois, but not absolutely certain.) Death: JAN 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona. They had 3 children: Lester Marvin Goldberg (My Father) Birth: 5 APR 1926. Death: 23 APR 1989 Roberta Goldberg Death: 1970 Michael (Mike) Goldberg (still alive) Can anyone help me with more information on my Grandfather, My Father's Father, Ray Goldberg and his ancestors? On My Father's Mother, (My Grandmother's) side, Dorothy (Dora?) KANNE, I have been able to find out a bit more information, but am looking for more. Her Father was Jacob KANNE. There is also a possible alias of Jacob Nemerofsky? They had 3 Children: Fanny KANNE Samuel (Solomon) KANNE Birth: 1866 Death: 25 FEB 1907 in Chicago, Illinois of Suicide Burial: Waldheim Jewish Cemetery Forest Park, Illinois Medical Information: From strangulation caused by (unreadable) with a piece of cloth around his neck suspended from the top of the shelving in the corner of (unreadable) with suicidal intent while dispondent. Certificate of Death from Cook County Coroners Office. Place of death was 2806 S. State St. which is Kanne's Fair. (A retail establishment) Cause of Death was Suicide. :( Believed to have arrived in Chicago about 1897. Died at age 41.
