I'm trying to find information on my G-G-G Grandparents John & Sophia (Ahrens) Goldberg. They came to the United States from Mecklenburg, Germany sometime in the 1850's. They had several children (A couple sets of twins) They settled in Laona, Chautauqua County, New York. I know that they each had a sibling who came to the US with them but I know little else. Looking for origins info on a Goldberg family, father occ. tailor, b. ca 1880-90, possibly Austria. At least two sons, one named Harold, b. ca. 1910 plus or minus 10yrs, later changed surname to GRANVILLE, operated a clothing store, Greenwich CT, 1950's-60's other son, forename unknown. The parents of these two sons are said to have originated in Romanian family, but were either born in, or resident in Vienna, Austria for a period of time before emigration to the US. Both sons appear to have been born in US, but may have returned to Vienna for a year or two as infants. Appreciate any leads. Thanks.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for any information on my paternal grandfather, Jacob (Jack) Goldberg. He was born in Lodz, Poland in Oct. 1913 and died in Toronto, Canada in Sept. 1974. He married my paternal grandmother, Hela (Helen) ROSENZWEIG in the early 1930's in Lodz. They had 2 sons, Avram (Abraham) who was born in Oct. 1934 or 1935 in Lodz, Poland and my father, Morris (originally Moniek then changed to Maurice then changed to Morris) who was born in a Displaced Persons camp in May 1947. I want to find out who Jack's siblings, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins were. If any of you can help me I would be extremely grateful.
