Hello everyone My mother in law showed me her grandmother's naturalization paper and marriage certificate and I was able to gain a decent amount of information off of it. Now I would like to add more for the family if possible. She did tell me though that most if not all of the family died in the Holocaust so I'm not sure exactly how much I'll find. The marriage certificate shows that her great grandparents were Dora GOLDBERG and Joseph SCHICHMON/SCHICHMAN/SCHICKMAN who were both born in Romania. They had at least on child. His name was Sam and he was born in Romania on May 5, 1894. If anyone has any information to share I would love to hear from you! Ella Coleman-Artz

I did have a Morris Goldberg in my family, and I think his wife was also named Rebecca. However, from my knowledge, they lived in Connecticut. So I am not sure if this is the same family. I know my Goldberg family was from Lyubcha (Novogrudok) Belarus (formerly Poland). Did the Abraham Goldberg in your family live in Texas, and have a wife named Rose and a daughter named Minne? If this is the same family as mine, they also had some Cohen residence in the Bronx---Harry Cohen and his wife Ester. Also, we had family in Houston, Texas. I think the key may be weather your Goldberg family ever lived in Connecticut? Please let me know if you want to discuss this more. Best wishes, Louis Loccisano

He was a widower and I do not know his deceased wife's name. children living with him on the census: Joseph S. Goldberg b.1876 later married Dora and had 3 children: Milton Judith and Sidney. Joseph was a peddler who was murdered between 1920 and 1930 while out on his route. Dora remained in Worcester with the children thru 1930 census but eventually moved to Pittsburgh and may have remarried. She died in 1975. Maurice I. Max appears to have died before the next census in 1910 and I have not been able to find the siblings other than Joseph and Maurice--presumably the girls may have married in between.
