Hi Folks, nice to see some English Goffs - my earliest is a Thomas Goff who was a farmer living in Bozeat, Northamptonshire. His farm house was burnt down in ‘The Great Fire of Bozeat’ in 1729 which also destroyed most of the church parish records I don’t know his ancestry but he married Mary Lavender (?) in Bozeat 6th. Jan 1728?29, and was buried in Bozeat 1765 The family remained in the Bozeat area of Northamptonshire, close to the Bedfordshire where relations lived and farmed in Harrold Mary Jane Goff b. 7/11/1862 in Northampton was my Brighton (Sussex) based grandmother. She was married in the College Street Baptist Church, Northampton, and died in Hove 1947. Any takers, Chris
