The goal is to determine what, if any, ancestral links are shared between the various Goff (and variant spelling) families worldwide. In particular, the ancestry of James Goff (1735-1834), John Turton Goff (d. 1803), Thomas Goff (1747-1824) and Salathiel Goff (ca. 1748-1791) has been elusive, perhaps until now. The Goff-Gough-Goffe DNA Study may once and for all reveal the identity of the father and ancestry of the Goff brothers. Male Goffs are needed to participate in this study.
