I have been into this line trying to find the father of (Israel?) LeeRoy Jackson Byrd and Josephine...Their mother is listed as widowed in 1880 in Grimes County...But their are so very many coincidences that they just have to connect somehow. These kids were born in 1875 and 1876 I believe... The mother was married previously and her husband was still living...I guess she was divorced...perhaps she did it again...Then she married a Parker.... Ezra had neighbors at one time named Burney...So did LeeRoy when he was little (census) And he named his first daughter (my great grandmaw) Minnie Burney Byrd..... I also believe they were part Native American...Were yours, you think? I would love to find that site you mentioned...can you lead me to it? Jerri Peek in Texas
