The sale of 12 Feb 1805 Hezekiah Goff to Wm. Leggett was substantial; 40 hogs, roan mare & colt, 4 cows, and household furniture. Hezekiah is not found in the Jefferson County tax rolls after 1804 so it appears that he left the county. The message board of Robert Knight Family will explain why this is a possibility.
