Augustus is my great-grandfather. My grandfather was Clarence and my dad was his son Robert Loyd. They called him Gus from what I've heard and I guess he was quite a character. Either he or Minnie were eastern band Cherokee which explains why there are no records for his parents. Rennie raised my dad and his siblings during the Great Depression. John and Tom lived in the swamps near New Orleans and Rennie lived in Lafayette Louisiana. Clarence and Lillie divorced in 1934 and he lived in Lumberton MS. Augustus was born in either GA or SC.
