Lucinda was married to Capt. William Roberts on Nov 15, 1829 in Lincoln County Kentucky. Their eldest son Granville is my husband's gg grandfather. Lucinda and William also had William, John, Harrison, Squire, Julia Ann, Martha Ann, Mary Ellen, Isaac and two other unknown children; for a total of 11 children. I believe that Lucinda's parents were John Goff born 1786 and Sabina Halley (Holly). They were married May 19, 1800 and lived in Bedford County, Virginia and then Lincoln County Kentucky. John goff's tombstone is in Crab Orchard Baptist Cemetery, Kentucky, he died in 1837. Anyone who knows something about this family, I would appreciate some more info to continue my work. HI LIST, I have my Great Grandfather's date of birth but I don't know his death date. I've looked in Pulaski Co., Ky court house, but maybe I've missed a record some where. Is there any way to find this out?? Or, is there some one that can look it up for me?? His name is Martin Thomas Colyer, Born July 16, 1866. He died at home on the other side of the mountain from his daughter Ethie May (COLYER) Jones in Pumpkin Hollow, near Elihu, Ky. (Cabin Hollow Road) His wife Sarah Emma Haynes was buried in the Haynes Cemetery May 19, 1913 so it was after 1913 but most possibly before 1926. His second wife was Jenny Lynch from Indiana. Martin's death date is a brick wall for many of the family. Thank you Wes Wesley Colyer Media Control NOT Gun Control

Good morning all, I've just received some interesting material about early Goffs in Bozeat, Northamptonshire. from the Northamptonshire Session Rolls 1314-16 (Court returns): "Henry of Killingworth, William, son of Peter Goss {old English ss + ff) of Boseyate. William at the Mill of Cropredy in the county of Oxfordshire who at tanother time before the coroner acknowledged themselves to be thieves and common felons and became approvers, now come and withdrew from their appeal etc. Therefore let them be hanged etc. No chatels etc. My writing in italics When I see the original I will get a full translation. So, there was a Peter Goff living in Bozeat in the 14th. century. There is a big gap then until several mentions of my gt .....grandfather Thomas Goff who owned a few small properties which appear on the Enclosure Map of 1799, who also lost some property in the Great Fire of Bozeat in 1729 Incidentally, a local man has just published at his own expense a book on the history of Bozeat which may be of interest: 'Bozeat 2000' by Philip Bligh, published by W.D.Wharton of Wellingborough in Northants email [email protected] I cannot comment much on the book yet as my good lady swiped it and wrapped it in gaudy paper so I'll have to wait a few days, but it is a heavy paperback of over 450 pages costing about £20 + p&p, and densley filled with material. Has anyone else found any Northamptonshire Goffs yet? Season's greetings to all, Chris Norfolk UK

I was thrilled to find the info on Joe Goff PLETZER & Martha GOFF who married J.D. CROWNOVER. How many children did Arthur GOFF & Rachel have? Arthur GOFF Is the s/o my ggg grandmother Jennet GOFF & J. Andrew GOFF & the brother of my gg grandfather Elijah GOFF. Rachel SHEFFIELD was the daughter of my ggg grandmother Drucilla (?) CARTER & her 2nd husband John Joseph SHEFFIELD, & the half sister to my gg grandmother, Nancy (CARTER) GOFF who married Arthur's brother Elijah GOFF. Arthur GOFF is found in the 1850 census of Polk Co. TX still living with his mother, Jennet (WALKER) GOFF. Rachel SHEFFIELD is in the 1850 census of Sabine Parish LA with the their mother Drucilla (?) CARTER- SHEFFIELD & the rest of her SHEFFIELD children. Arthur & Rachel are in the 1860 census of Walker Co. TX with no children. They married in Cherokee Co. TX where Arthur's brother, Elijah GOFF & his 1st wife, Rachel's half sister, Nancy (CARTER) GOFF lived at that time. Arthur & Rachel are in the 1870 census of Madison Co. TX with 3 children; 1. William H. GOFF (b.c1862 TX)--- 2. Sarah E. GOFF (b.c1865 TX) --- 3. Martha GOFF (b.c1868 TX) I next found Martha (b. c1868 TX) in the 1880 census of Madison Co. TX living with her Uncle John SHEFFIELD, listed as Martha GAUFF. I figured that Arthur & Rachel both died about 1875 in Madison Co. TX. I would truly appreciate any additional info you can give me on this family.
