In the 1850 census for Stokes Co., NC, Greenville GOFF has a son, William G, age 17. I cannot find the family in the 1860 nor the 1870 census. I find William GAUFF, age 20, in the 1880 census in Emanuel Co., GA. What happened to the Greenville GOFF family after 1850? Did they migrate to SC and/or GA? I am looking for the descendants of Joseph M. Goff and Annie Herbert Pilkington. Annie was born 12/28/1884. Her parents were George Pilkington and Sarah Ann Hudson Edgar.
