I tried a wider search, including http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/index-e.html, but failed to come up with anything. I have found a couple of possible Godins coming over from Canada, but I cannot say if they were relatives or not. I have a family story that dad was interned as a foreign national during the war, which fits with Belgian origins. I may try to follow this aspect up, to see if it provides any leads. As to family, because there does not seem to be a central repository for BMD data in Belgium, without a place of birth I am searching in the dark. Otherwise, I may need to wait for the 1921 census!
