My grandmother got married shortly after his death and had two other children. Nobody in the family ever really talked about it, or our Aboriginal heratige either (my grandmother was also half Osage). All my dad knows, if it is correct, is that he was a merchant marine and died on a cargo ship in 1945 when is appendix burst and that he was from Northern New Brunswick. I will be contacting the Canadian War Museum too, as I live in the area, to see what I can find. Any info would be muchly appreciated.
