There are a lot of trees on the site that list his parents as Claude Gaudin and Marie Bardin but I am not sure that is correct. The best information I can find shows both Claude and Marie being born around 1600 which obviously doesn't work. Many people have abt. 1584 for Claude on their listings but I can't seem to find any data to verify that date. Going the other way I also cannot find a match because the only child I can find good documentation for between Claude and Marie is Pierre. Sometimes he shows as Pierre Jacques which is perhaps why some make this link but I cannot find anything that would verify this and the dates do not seem to work.
