My great grandmother was Bernadette Goddeau. She was the daughter of Charles Goddeau and Rose Guyette. My grandmother is still alive and has given me quite a bit of info on this family. One thing she told me is that Goddeau can be spelled Godin, Goddah, and Goddeau as well as a few other ways because of the way it was pronounced. I've also seen Guyette spelled as Goyette.
