I see you are in America, I am in England. Godby was my mother's maiden name, sadly she is no longer here and neither is anyone else who could shed light on the Godby name. My maternal grandfather was Walter Godby and he was a postman in London for most of his working life. I do recall my mother telling me some of the Godby's emigrated to New Zealand/Canada.
