Godbey's father Gabriel was the son of William Godbey,b.1750,this William was the elder brother to John Godby,b.1752. Some of John's family moved to Pulaski and then Casey Co.,Ky. William's son Gabriel Moved to Overton Co.,Tn., His son Timothy C. I Godbey Moved to Cumberland,Clinton and then Casey Co.,Ky.
