    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: GODDARD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UVZ.2ACIB/21.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Hi there, I am just going to give this a try to see if there is ANY connection here. My name is Heather Goddard, I am 30 yrs old, and I am from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The information I hav eon my ancestors are as follows: The farthest I can go back is this: My great-great grandfather WILLIAM GODDARD born in England in 1845, married to a SUSAN McKENZIE, who was also born in England in 1846. They had many kids. 1) JOHN WILLIAM(born in England 1868)- 2) WILLIAM HENRY (born 1869 England - 3) PHOEBE (born England)- 4) THOMAS (which was my great-grandfather)(born in Barrie, Ont., 1872), 5) SELENIA (born in Ontario in 1874) 6) JULIA (born 1876 in Toronto, Ont.)- 7) STEWART (born 1877 in Toronto, Ont.)- 8) MARY or MAY (born Toronto, Ont. 1879) - 9) ROBERT GEORGE (born Toronto-I believe) From 1891 Census add 10. SUSAN (born 1888) married a Penn-Edie (not sure what that means, but that';s what my Uncle sent me. Now, my great-grandfather THOMAS (lised above), all I know is he married a lady named Mary Lever, and from what i know, they had 2 kids- THOMAS (my grandfather), who was born in Toronto in approx 1900 (don't know excat date yet), and JACK (I believe his name was JACK-if not JACK, then FRANK), and I'm not sure who was older or where JACK was born yet). My grandfather ended up meeting my grandmother ROSELLA (an American citizen), and they obviously settled in Detroit somewhere, where they had all 4 of their ids (THOMAS JR. (my dad), EDITH, FREDERICK, & BEVERLY). It ended up my grandfather was deported for some reason, and I suppose that's why and how they ended up in WINDSOR, ONT. Canada. My grandfather also had a steeplejack business here in Windsor called, "THOMAS GODDARD & SONS". He died in approx. 1964, in Windsor, Ont. Canada and is now buried in Detroit. Hope there is some connection!!!!
