Am looking for any information (parents, descendants, etc.) on GILBERT GOAD in southwestern Missouri. He married ELIZABETH HARLOW, 18 July 1878 in Lawrence Co., MO. Her parents were MARY/POLLY JENNINGS and ALEXANDER HARLOW. Earlier, in 1872, Lawrence Co. probate records show that he purchased a colt and saddle from the estate of his wife-to-be's uncle F. M. JENNINGS. When her grandfather, ROBERT JENNINGS, died in 1884, GILBERT GOAD was in possession of Jennings' "old flint rock rifle gun". Jennings and family had come from Grayson/Carroll Co., VA in the 1830's, and I am wondering how/if Gilbert Goad might connect to the Grayson/Carroll Goad's.
