Isaac Bonds 15 Feb 1815 Anne m. Aaron Ronerts 6 Sept 1815 These two seem to early too be children of John and Ailey . I will have to do more checking as I have not looked at hese for awhile. Nancy m. Elijah Spemcer 16 Sept 1830, daughhter of John Goard. Wit: Marvel Spencer. So thjis Nanct was John's daughter so the other one was not. Rachel P. m. Oliver Branch 15 Nov 1836. Also almost certainbly John's. Rachel for John's mother, wife of Charles, we believe. All these marriages were in Patrick County. So I think it is safe to say Jesse, Nancy Spencer, Frances ("Fanny" Short and Rachel Branch were siblings. These Patrick Goads osed the spelling "Goard" rather consistently. They all had "GOAD" ancestry. My mother was born in Carroll County, Virginia in 1893. She said eople generally clled them "Goard" although they always used the Goad spellking as did all the numerous Goads in Carroll County. The 1850 Bedford County census would likely have some of these daughters of John nd Ailey listed as I think they were there with John in 1840. If Goads married Bowmans, it must have been much later. There were lots of Bowmans in Carroll County. -- Ken --- Ken
