    2. Gail Goad was the son of Ethler Orion Goad born 10 Dec. 1887 Macon Co., TN died 23 March 1972 buried at Patterson Cemetery, Russell Hill, Macon Co., TN. His mother was Jenetta Mai Patterson born 13 Oct. 1891 Macon Co., TN died 18 Sept. 1980 buried at Patterson Cemetery, Russell Hill, Macon Co., TN. Jenetta parents were Neil Wallace Patterson and Manervia Ann Smith. Ethler parents were Ethler Crittenton "Kit" Goad and Gertrude Goad, who was my grandfather's sister. Kit's line goes back to Coleman Goad and Gertrude's back to Daniel Goad, both sons of Reuben LaFayette Goad and Mary Polly Witcher. RUSSELL of Russell Hill of the county of Macon State of Tennessee party of the second part Witness, that said party of first part for the consideration here in after mentioned agrees to erect and built, using all art and skill as workmen, a 2nd story to be 10 ft from floor to ceiling, the large room to be 28 x 36, the smaller to be 24 x 28, the material of hall to be no.2 siding clear of black knots windshakes etc. head joints made on studs said party of first agree to furnish and put in 6 windows located as follows 1 window over each window of first floor, the sash of windows shall be 8 lights each 18 x 20, the said large large room is to be complete on inside, floored with xx2 flooring free of black knots and etc., walls ceiled with ceiling from old school house, the over head to be ceiled with xx2 ceiling free from knot holes etc. party of first futher agree to furnish 3 good doors to be placed in said upper story as party of second part may direct, there shall be 2 small rooms cut off in the 24 x 28 room to be located as party of second part directs, the lumber in said 10 x 10 rooms shall be #2, the outside is to be painted with two coats of paint, the apporent form of roof shall not be changed. Said party of first part agrees to deliver the said 2 nd story furnished according to contract to said party of the second part on or before the ? day of June 1912 In consideration where of the said party of 2nd part agrees to pay the party of first part the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars (275.00) as follows each person of the 2nd part shall give his note for his perateral part to party of first part which notes shall be in full for all his claims and demands against the party of the second part except as here in after provided and it is further agreed that the said party of the second part may modify the before mentioned specifiecations in any particular without impairing its validity, or the validity of this contract in other respects provided that the sum to be allowed to either party for such alterations shall have been agreed upon by the parties here to and a full statement of same shall be in writing and signed by them before the work by the change is commenced.
