Mr. Goad was born in Maury County, Tennessee 30 Nov. 1810. He joined the Knob Creek Baptist Church in 1832. In 1850, he moved to Nacogdoches, Texas and united with the Mount Moriah Church. In 1856, he moved to Anderson County and became a member of the Macedonia Church at Tennessee Colony. He is survived by his wife and several children.
