Hello Garry Thanks for your input, but I should have mentioned that on the army papers it stated Ernest Hubert ( 20. 6. 15 ) Uckfield, which is in England. Does anyone know if the father would have to produce the birth certificate for the army authority's records ??? This would help me to determine if the birth was actually registered. Considering that this was during WW1, it is possible that the parents did not register the birth. Many thanks Frank
